Today, I made the hardest decision of my life. I decided I was going to retire. Throughout my career, I didn’t really spend that much time with my family. I knew I wasn’t going to stay on earth forever, so I wanted to take my wife and three kids to the family estate in Camnago to spend as much time with them as I could. So before we left to go to Camnago, I decided to just sit in the woods and relax because I was having second thoughts about retiring as a physicist because I loved it so much. When I started to relax I had a flash back. In 1775, I created my first experiment, the electrophorus. I couldn’t believe I did it and I loved the feeling of being the first one to invent something. So I wanted to stick with being a physicist. In 1776, I invented the electric pistol and in the same year, I discovered Methane. In 1773, I discovered the eudiometer and in 1790 I perfected it. In 1800, I invented my greatest experiment the Voltaic Pile, also called the battery. After I invented the battery, I got many awards from many people from many different countries. I thought to myself, my life really made a difference. After I woke up from my little nap, I realized how much I did for physics and I thought to myself, “Yes it’s definitely time to retire and spend time with my family.”
